Who we are

STAMP is a macOS email client operated by an independent founder in Copenhagen, Denmark. For privacy questions or requests, email hello@stamp.email.

Google account data in Stamp

When you connect Google, Stamp requests these five scopes:

  • gmail.modify to list and read messages, manage labels, archive and trash messages, and create drafts or send messages.
  • userinfo.email and userinfo.profile to identify the Google account and show its email address and name in Stamp.
  • calendar.readonly to list calendars, read events, and check availability.
  • calendar.events to create, edit, move, and delete calendar events when you request those actions.

Stamp uses this data only to provide the email and calendar features you use. Mail, calendar data, and cached attachments are stored in Stamp's local database on your Mac. Google access and refresh tokens are stored in the operating system's credential store. Stamp's servers do not receive or store your Gmail messages, calendar contents, or Google sign-in tokens.

Stamp does not sell Google user data, use it for advertising, or transfer it to data brokers. Stamp does not use Google user data to train generalized AI or machine-learning models. No person at Stamp reads your mail or calendar content in the ordinary operation of the app. Google data is not used outside the user-facing Stamp features described above.

The use of information received from Google APIs complies with the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.

Removing data and access

Remove a connected account in Stamp to delete its locally cached mail, calendar data, and stored credentials from that Mac. You can also revoke Stamp's Google access in your Google Account security settings. Revoking access prevents future Google API access; remove the account in Stamp to clear its local cache.

For data held by STAMP's website or licensing service, email hello@stamp.email. We may retain records where needed for security, accounting, or legal obligations.

Website, waitlist, and purchases

  • Website analytics: The site uses cookieless DataFast analytics to measure visits and page activity. It does not use advertising trackers.
  • Waitlist: If you join early access, we send your email address to Resend to manage the list and contact you about access. You can ask us to remove it by emailing us.
  • Purchases: Stripe processes checkout and payment details. STAMP's licensing service receives purchase-related information such as your email address, selected plan, device identifier, and any referral code, to issue and manage your license. STAMP does not receive full payment card details.
  • Support: If you email us, we use the details and content of your message to answer and provide support.

Diagnostics and security

The app may send error diagnostics to Sentry to help identify crashes and serious errors. Reports are filtered to allowlisted app and error fields and a pseudonymous installation identifier. The app removes email addresses, IP addresses, request details, and message or calendar content from these reports.

The website and licensing service process technical information needed to deliver pages, prevent abuse, operate checkout, and maintain service security. Google account tokens and Google mail or calendar contents are not part of that website data.

Changes and contact

If we change how Stamp handles Google user data, we will update this policy and provide any required notice in the app before using the data for a new purpose. Contact hello@stamp.email with questions or privacy requests.
