The privacy tradeoff, stated plainly
Canary Mail talks about privacy and also runs its core AI features, summaries and smart reply, through the cloud. Those two things are not contradictory, cloud AI can still be handled responsibly, but they are also not the same as on-device processing. STAMP made the more restrictive choice on purpose: our AI never sees a data center. That means we cannot summarize or draft for you yet. It also means the answer to "does my email content leave my Mac" is simply no.
Privacy claims are only as strong as what actually happens to the data. Ask where the processing runs, not just what the marketing page says.
Who should pick which
